Aftercare Advice

Toxin Treatment

 

No straining, heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for 24 hours following treatment 

 

Please also avoid rubbing or massaging around the site of injection and any facial beauty treatments for 24 hours

 

Please remain upright for four hours following treatment

 

Avoid extreme temperatures for the rest of the day, including steam rooms, saunas and very hot showers

 

Retinol, Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C can all be used on the face but please avoid using in the areas treated with toxin for 24 hours

 

Occasionally patients may experience a slight headache after injections which can be managed with over the counter painkillers if required

 

Please note it can take up to 2 weeks for the full effects of the treatment to take place

Dermal Filler

 

After treatment, you may notice some redness, swelling and bruising at or around the injection site which is common and this typically resolves within 7 days

 

A cool compress may be used on the area to help reduce the redness and swelling

 

The use of Arnica gel or tablets may be useful for any bruising

 

Please do not touch, press, rub or manipulate the injected areas for at least 6 hours post treatment

 

Please avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 2 days post treatment

 

Please avoid the use of Retinol or similar products, and cosmetic treatments such as laser, ultrasound, peels or facials for 2 weeks after treatment

 

Please avoid wearing make up until the day after your treatment

 

Please avoid drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours after your treatment

 

If any redness, or swelling becomes worse after 3 days or is accompanied by other symptoms such as increasing pain or fever you should contact us straight away
